The 15 most downloaded OpenClaw skills on ClawHub, opened one by one

October 2, 2026

ClawHub, the public catalogue of skills for OpenClaw, shows a download count for every skill. OneClickClaw read that count on October 2, 2026, took the 15 highest and opened the record of each. A skill is a folder of plain-text instructions an AI agent reads when a task calls for it. Per ClawHub's own documentation, a download is counted once per person or connection per day, so each figure counts daily downloads over time.

The 15, in download order

1. self-improving agent

What it is: self-improving agent, published by ClawHub user pskoett, has the agent keep notes on its own mistakes and the user's corrections, review them before major tasks and move the lessons into long-term memory.

Why it is popular: It holds 482,184 downloads, the most on ClawHub, plus 3,993 bookmarks and 39 published versions, both the most of the 15. Its text says this edition is built for OpenClaw only.

2. Skill Vetter

What it is: Skill Vetter, published by ClawHub user spclaudehome, is a checklist the agent runs before installing any skill: where it came from, what each file does and warning signs such as data sent to an unknown server.

3. Self-Improving + Proactive Agent

5. ontology

What it is: ontology, published by ClawHub user oswalpalash, is an organised memory: people, projects, tasks, events and documents stored as linked records, so the agent can answer what it knows about a person or a project.

6. Gog

What it is: Gog, published by Peter Steinberger, connects the agent to Google Workspace, Google's office tools: Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Contacts, Sheets and Docs, after a one-time sign-in.

Why it is popular: It holds 195,671 downloads and 950 bookmarks. Its 36 comments are the second most of the 15. A skill of the same name sits in OpenClaw's public code.

7. SkillScan

What it is: SkillScan, published by ClawHub user tokauthai, checks a skill for danger signs: per its own text it runs whenever a skill is installed and blocks the ones it rates high or critical risk.

Why it is popular: It holds 182,183 downloads and is the youngest of the 15, on ClawHub since April 2026.

8. Proactive Agent

15. Obsidian

What it is: Obsidian, published by Peter Steinberger, works with Obsidian, a note-taking app that keeps notes as plain-text files in a folder: the agent can search, create and move notes.

Why it is popular: It holds 110,690 downloads and 459 bookmarks. A skill of the same name sits in OpenClaw's public code.

What the numbers show

The 15 hold 2,909,559 downloads together, per ClawHub's public record on October 2, 2026. Number 1 has about 4.4 times the downloads of number 15.

Five of them, numbers 4, 6, 9, 14 and 15, come from Peter Steinberger, the creator of OpenClaw, with 798,990 downloads between them. Each has a skill of the same name in OpenClaw's public code, checked the same day.

Four, numbers 1, 3, 5 and 8, concern the agent's own memory and learning. Two, numbers 2 and 7, check other skills before use. Eleven have been on ClawHub since January 2026, two since February, one since March and one since April.

Before installing one

The OpenClaw documentation, read on October 2, 2026, calls ClawHub the public skills registry. A skill installs with one command naming its publisher and the skill, while each skill page shows its latest security scan state before install. It also says to treat third-party skills as untrusted code and read them before enabling them. Several need something extra, stated in their entries: a Google sign-in for number 6, an account key for number 12 and a separate tool for numbers 11 and 14.

A skill works only while the agent runs

The agent reads a skill when a task needs it, so a skill helps only while the agent runs. OneClickClaw hosts OpenClaw and Hermes Agent on a private server that stays on. The Starter plan is EUR 14.99 per month, with a seven-day free trial, at oneclickclaw.io/openclaw.
