Moving from KiloClaw to your own OpenClaw server
KiloClaw's documentation now carries an end-of-life notice: the product is no longer available to new users and support is ending. Users on r/kilocode report an email naming 20 October 2026 as the retirement date. Export what is yours from KiloClaw
While you still have access, copy your agent's persona (system prompt), memory files, any skills you wrote, and the bot tokens for Telegram, Discord, or Slack. These are plain text and they belong to you.
Start a OneClickClaw trial
Sign in with Google and start the 7-day free trial. A real dedicated Starter server is provisioned in Denmark, hardened, and running OpenClaw in under 10 minutes. No credit card.
Add your AI key or subscription
Paste the API key you used on KiloClaw, or connect a ChatGPT or Grok subscription via OAuth. The key is encrypted before it reaches the server.
Bring the persona and memory over
Paste the persona into the agent panel. Copy memory files and skills into the workspace over SSH (opt-in, key-only) if you have them. The agent picks them up on restart.
Reconnect your channels, then retire the old instance
Use the guided channel setup with the same bot tokens. Send a test message from Telegram or WhatsApp. When the new server answers, shut down the KiloClaw instance.

Moving from KiloClaw: questions we get
- Do I have to rebuild my agent from scratch?
- No. OpenClaw stores your agent's persona, memory, and skills as plain files in its workspace. Copy them out of KiloClaw while you still have access, then paste the persona into the agent panel on OneClickClaw or copy the files over SSH. The model, the channels, and the behaviour carry over; only the server underneath changes.
- Can I keep my Telegram or Discord bot?
- Yes. The bot token from BotFather or the Discord developer portal belongs to you. Paste the same token into the guided channel setup on your OneClickClaw dashboard and your bot answers from the new server. Your users keep the same bot handle.
- Where does my agent run after the move?
- On a dedicated, single-tenant VPS in Denmark (EU) on Webdock infrastructure. Nobody else runs code on your machine, your API keys are encrypted on your own server, and GDPR data residency is the default.
- What does it cost after the free trial?
- Starter is EUR 14.99/month (2 vCPU, 4GB RAM, 15GB NVMe), Hobbyist EUR 25.99, Pro EUR 49.99. Annual billing saves up to 20%. The 7-day trial runs on a real Starter server with no credit card.
